Sound Designer’s Starter Pack (free): https://daviddumaisaudio.com/starterpack

I was on a Zoom call with a sound designer 3 weeks ago. He mentioned how he was working for a mobile game company and had already shipped a few games.

We got to talking about DAWs and he mentioned how he was using Ableton and he was curious why I was using Reaper.

This struck me as interesting as Reaper is so flexible, powerful, and time-saving as a DAW, but not everybody knows that.

So, in this video, I wanted to share what I believe to be some of the best reasons to use Reaper for game audio. This is not an extensive deep dive into Reaper and what it can do, but if you’ve never checked out Reaper before, hopefully, this will pique your curiosity.

In this video, we’ll go over:

  • What I believe are the 2 weaknesses of Reaper
  • 4 Reasons why you should use Reaper for game audio
  • Other qualities that make reaper a great DAW

If this was valuable to you, please consider sharing it!
