Explosion Sound Design Tutorial | Grenade Blast in 3 Easy Steps

You’ve probably heard of using gunshot samples or explosion recordings to use as layers to your explosion sound effects. And, you’ve probably seen or even tried yourself to create an explosion sound by putting impact SFX through a reverb.

The problem with using these sounds is that they either cost money (gunshot/explosion sounds) or they just don’t sound quite right (impact sound going through a reverb).

There is another way of doing it, and that’s what I’ll be showing you in this video.

Along with creating an explosion tail sound from scratch, we’ll also be designing a grenade blast in 3 easy steps.
