Sound Designer’s Starter Pack: https://daviddumaisaudio.com/starterpack

Recently, I was approached by a well established video game company who asked if I would be interested in sub-contracting sound design work for them. I was interested and what followed was the negotiation and signing of a contract.

This was a new experience for me and I learned a lot along the way and that’s what I want to share with you today.

In this video, I share my experience with contracts as a freelance video game sound designer. I will discuss a few items you should consider looking over if you ever sign a contract. Some of those items include liability, payment, deliverables, and Intellectual Property.

I also briefly discuss negotiation with employers. I hope you find this video useful!

If this was valuable to you, please consider sharing it!
